Symprises® originally was found in Ningbo Free Trade Zone in Sep 2001 as a 3D portable measurement system integrator and a value added reseller of laser scanning systems. It is one of the pioneers in portable measurement, laser scanning, CAD modeling and reverse engineering services and related equipment sales. Mr. Sam C. Tu, the founder of Symprises, was a scholar of University of Michigan (Dearborn) and late a senior system engineer and algorithm developer for laser measurement systems. After years of working and studying in United States, Sam moved back to China in 2001 and started the first portable 3D measurement systems and reverse engineering services business DELIMITEK in Ningbo, China. In year of 2002, DELIMITEK became one of the largest portable CMM and laser scanning system integrators in the world.

June 2005, Symprises moved its head office to Guilin, a beautiful city in sourth-western of China. And now, Symprises has become one of the major professional manufacture engineering services groups with focus on product develop support, tooling and low volume production in China.

Supported by public fundation, Symprises was able to establish "Digital Manufacturing Technology Support Platform" in the area. Based on this platform, Symprises is able to offer Innovation Design (Industrial Design), Reverse Engineering, Product Development and Contract Manufacturing services to our customers around the world. Year 2008, Symprises has become a comprehensive engineering services group with capbility to provide world class quality of work with competitive price which helps our customers to save time and money on product development and thus lower the risk of new product releasing.

By the end of 2007, Symprises has more than forty employees and most are engineering people. The company now has about 4000 sq. ft. office space and more than 12000 sq ft factory floor.
